Dear Parent/Guardian                                                                                   December 2, 2016

We have a lot happening at CES.  We are preparing for the Polar Express and Frozen that will be happening at CES on Tuesday, December 6th starting at 4PM. The last train will leave the station at 6:45. The cost is $5 for each hall, per kid. If this is a financial hardship for your family, please contact us in advance and it will be all taken care of.

Cold weather is upon us.  Please make sure your student is dressed for the weather. If your student is in need of winter outerwear, please have them let us know, or feel free to call the school.

If your student is staying for the afterschool program, they must come dressed everyday prepared to play outside.

A huge thanks to Crumbs Bakery. Last Tuesday, all of the students and the staff enjoyed ice cream cones for snack all supplied by Crumbs. It was a nice surprise and a good way to end our short week.

Our Christmas concert will be December 19th right here at CES. We have split the concert in half this year. This is an effort to avoid the difficulty of trying to have our younger students and their families staying for the entire concert so they do not disrupt the older students’ performances. Grades K-2 will perform from 5:30-6:15 and grades 3-6 will perform 6:45-7:30. This time will allow for the families of the younger students to leave the parking area before the older ones start to arrive. We are asking parents to have their students here 15 minutes early and to remain for the entire concert.

Betsy still has 4 copies of the new Diary of a Wimpy Kid books. They are $8.99 each. If you would like to purchase one, please contact Betsy at the office.

Just a reminder that Wednesday, December 7 is an early release day.  As always, afterschool care is available on early release days from dismissal until 5:30 pm

Thank you for your commitment to our school and students. Have a great weekend.

Thank you

Sue Carter
